NGR vs turnover: how your cashback is calculated
20 Apr 2026
Take a player who bets $100,000 over a month with a typical 5% house edge. The book's NGR from that player is about $5,000.
An affiliate program paying 25% of NGR earns the affiliate $1,250 from those bets. A book that advertises '15% cashback' typically means 15% of NGR, not 15% of turnover — so the player receives about $750 back.
Read the small print on any cashback claim. The number is far more useful when paired with what it's a percentage of.
